Dandelion Seeds

The dandelion is native to Europe and is also popularly known by other names such as Bitter Chicory, Pelosilla, Corona de Fraile or Argón.

It is a perennial plant about 40 cm tall with elongated toothed leaves. Its yellow flowers, once they mature, turn white and very fragile, so much so that with a soft breath they fall apart.

The dandelion has many medicinal properties as an infusion apart from being an edible plant, since it provides us with vitamins A, B, C and D and minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium or zinc. You can include dandelion leaves in recipes for salads, pasta, etc. so we can include its leaves and flowers in salads and other cold dishes.
