The dwarf dahlia, also known as Dahlia pinnata, is a variety of dahlia that belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is a popular flower due to its attractive blooms and easy cultivation. It grows to an average of fifty 50 cm tall. The dwarf Dahlia is the most recommended dahlia for pot planting

Planting Time: The Dwarf Dahlia can be sown in spring after the risk of frost has passed, or it can also be sown in late winter if a temperate climate is available.

Soil: Prefers well-drained soils rich in organic matter. A well-draining soil is essential, as these flowers are sensitive to excess moisture. Hortyjardín potting soil is recommended

The soil where we plant the dwarf dahlias is another factor that we must take into account, because dahlias in general need space to develop; especially when it comes to depth, because its roots are very extensive.

It is recommended that the soil be enriched with potassium, because dahlias in general consume a lot of this element, this is due to their enormous flowering capacity. (consult Hprtyjardín)

Climate : The Dwarf Dahlia thrives in warm and temperate climates. It does best in areas with moderate temperatures and does not tolerate frost well.

Temperature: The optimum temperature for the growth of the Dwarf Dahlia ranges between 15°C and 25°C. If the temperature drops below 10°C, the plants can be damaged or die.

Humidity: These flowers prefer an environment with moderate humidity. Avoid places with high humidity, as they can favor the development of fungal diseases.

Irrigation of dwarf dahlias must be moderate and must be done taking into account the climate, we must avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.
