Celosia Plumosa Seeds

They are herbaceous or subwoody plants, annual or perennial, with highly developed leaves and hermaphroditic flowers clustered in the form of crests or disformed ears. The plant reaches up to 50 cm in height, pyramidal in shape. It has small yellow, silver, greenish or red flowers, arranged in spikes. Originate from India. It develops best in hot weather. They are excellent for making flower arrangements and are used dried for decoration.

SOWING: Sow indoors in a lighted place, in a seedbed or in a small pot, covering the seeds with 3 mm of finely sifted black soil. Watering should be done gently, trying not to "bounce" the seeds on the ground. Germination takes 10 to 14 days depending on soil conditions, temperature and humidity. Transplant to a sunny place when the seedling has reached 5 cm in height, leaving a distance of 30 cm between plants and there is no risk of frost.
