CLIMATE

The place to plant pumpkin seeds must have at least five hours of sun a day, the soil must be removed and fertilized with organic matter (Compost or Humus). Prepare the soil with a rake and other gardening elements so that it is well ventilated. Don't forget to add natural fertilizer, which can be manure, for some time beforehand, then remove it, mix it and leave it for a couple of weeks. Before sowing you must stir again so that the soil is not compacted and the seeds germinate comfortably.

To sow the seeds you must make holes 5 cm deep so that two separate seeds can fit in each one. Then you cover the hole and continue with the next one. The holes should be spaced every 80 or 120cm because pumpkin plants are large and strong so they should have room to grow.

In a week or ten days these plants will be germinating and the sprouts will begin to be seen. If both seeds germinate in one of the holes, leave the strongest one and remove the other.

IRRIGATION:

Watering should be done daily, it is necessary to keep the soil moist while the seed germinates, then you should continue watering so that the water goes to the roots, not on the leaves and stems. Irrigation must be maintained throughout the development of the plant and the fruit, the lack of water will dry out the plant and if the fruits have already formed, it could dry them out and become completely unusable or of poor quality.

The only time to stop watering is one week before

HARVEST:

harvest the pumpkins. When you see that the pumpkins are orange
