Sowing:

Sow in a pot, planter or directly in the ground, scattering the seeds over the soil. Mint is a plant that develops horizontally, so it is recommended to plant it in a wide pot at least 20 cm deep , which allows it to grow. If you plant it directly on the ground in your garden or orchard, it is advisable to grow it alone so that it does not overlap the plants on its side.

Germination:

It takes 15 to 20 days depending on soil conditions, temperature and humidity.

Climate:

It prefers places without too much sun exposure, and adapts well to growing in shade or semi-shade. In this way, we must place the pot or planter in a place where the mint receives sunlight but in moderation.

Irrigation:

Watering should be done gently, trying not to “bounce” the seeds on the ground. This plant prefers somewhat humid soils, so it will need regular and abundant watering, especially during the spring and summer growing seasons.

Harvest:

The flowering season coincides with the arrival of summer, we will have to collect the tender mint shoots as we need them.

The flowers have two lips and four lobes with colors ranging from white to purple. The fruit is a capsule with up to four seeds.
